Ok, ok, ok, on this week’s episode of Confidently Controversial Emily shares one of her family faves, 1983’s Eddie and the Cruisers. Starring bad lip syncer Michael Pare, hotsy totsy Tom Berenger, cranky Ellen Barkin, and David Silver’s dad Matthew Laurance, this is a film where not too much happens, but it takes a long time to do so. We never claimed to be good at math, but something doesn't add up in this week's episode of Confidently Controversial when we take on Pretty Woman. This fairytale of a film was released in 1990 and stars Julia Roberts as the messy, but sweet sex worker Vivian Ward as she falls for the rich dude with daddy issues, Edward Lewis, played by Richard Gere. What can be said about such a masterpiece? Just kidding... It's not very good. While Emily had fond memories of this 1981 comedy, things changed slightly after a rewatch.
