Rain Man

Hot tip for anyone trying to get away with something - don't twin with your partner in crime. It, um, draws attention, looks weird, isn't necessary, costs a lot... Do I need to go on? On this week's episode of Confidently Controversial, Emily and Kim watch 1988's Rain Man featuring Dustin Hoffman and a very angry Tom Cruise. Certainly groundbreaking for its time, this movie introduced much of the world to Autism and garnered award noms for its leads, but leans controversial by today's standards.

Turns out choosing a movie based solely on watching the associated music video doesn't work out very well. This week we watch 1985's Desperately Seeking Susan starring Madonna, Rosanna Arquette, Aidan Quinn, Mark Blum and Laurie Metcalf. While the movie isn't the best, the fashion sure is... bring back the bedazzled fold down bootie!
