Superhero movies were back in a big way when Tim Burton's caped crusader (Superman, Batman - they both have capes, leave me alone) and kinda weird, not properly therapized bat of a man came on the scene in 1989. The Electric Grandmother

Guys, I don't even know what to say. This movie is messed up in so many ways and I haven't even begun to comprehend it. I do know that I am going to have to be way nicer to Emily now. I mean she watched this as a kid. She was just a baby when she was faced with her mortality packaged in a sarcophagus and dropped off in her yard via helicopter. She was so small and likely freaked out as she watched this faux Grammy shoot milk from her finger and then age kids with a single hug. Let's be gentle with her, huh? And let's never talk about this terrifying film again - it's 1982's The Electric Grandmother.

The Color of Money

I mean, I could make some sort of spicy comment about how the color of money may be green, but the color of our review for this movie is stinky brown, but we try to stay highbrow over here and I would never. Plus, you gotta keep it classy for Paul Newman as he was a kind-hearted soul who gave us some delicious dressings and sauces. Either way, we didn't really care for it and we felt like we were supposed to? I don't know. Please tell us if we are wrong. It happens a lot. Ladies and gents, it's the 1986 Martin Scorsese film The Color of Money.

Sometimes you just have to be delighted. You have to stop thinking you are cooler than everyone else and leave the negativity at the door and just enjoy a gosh darn movie. Yeah, we are talking to you, Ebert. You're not better than us... Guys, we are watching the 1987 solid gold film, Summer School, starring the truly talented and extremely handsome, Mr. Mark Harmon. You'll love it - we promise!

And before you young folk get all excited, please know that this movie has no relationship to that sassy teen wolf nonsense that took place on MTV a few years ago. Nope, this is the real deal. The Mike Fox wolf. The OG, basketball playing, van surfing, bestie to Stiles wolf that won our hearts way back in 1985. If you can't handle it - look away.
